New York City is a, if not, the, fashion capital of the world. An amalgamation of high fashion, retro appreciation, individual style and more than a little personality epitomizes a city that lives and breathes fashion – even by proxy, sometimes serendipitously, almost always uniquely. We've gathered 50 New Yorkers from editorial, retail, beauty, music and beyond who exemplify the reality of our New York – to bring you New York's 50 Most Stylish. – Kerry Pieri

STYLECASTER - BCBGMAXAZRIA Spring 2011 Fashion Week

The process a designer goes through prior to a showing of their collection is never properly reflected in the mere minutes a show lasts on the runway. What with the music, lighting, hair, makeup and casting of models -- not to mention the actual designing of the clothes, there's much more that goes into it than meets the eye. We sat down to chat with Lubov Azria of BCBGMAXAZRIA about this whole process and found out a few surprising details about the designer's collection this season, that showed on the catwalk this morning.

Illustrate Lady Gaga's New Column In V Magazine!

It's no secret that Lady Gaga wears many hats—some weirder than others, like that white crown in the Bad Romance video—and she's about to add another one into the mix: journalist.

Starting in the summer issue of V Magazine, Lady Gaga will have her own column, which will give her Little Monsters an exclusive editorial look into her universe.

That's not even the coolest part—she wants one of her fans to illustrate her for the magazine, in lieu of a traditional head shot (because Gaga doesn't do "traditional"). Applicants can get as crazy and creative as they want, and any medium will do, but you must style her like a fashion editor. I personally think she'd look amazing with Anna's bob and sunnies.

Sound too good to be true? It kind of is. You only have until this Sunday, April 3rd, to submit your masterpiece of Mother Monster. The winner's work will appear in V71 which will be released on May 12.

So start blasting Born This Way and get to sketching. Good luck!

I love this site. Definitely on my “must-check-daily” list!

This is a celebrity fashion blog that covers all the latest celebrity styles and fashion trends, with tons of fun features—for hours of fun and potential lusting for wearable items, check out “Shop the Closet”. They don’t discuss celebrity gossip on here; it’s all about fashion. And sometimes, I think that’s better. I hope most people know how I feel about fashion :-)
